Mandatory Self-Study Course on ADAM on Data and Information Classification
As of October 1, 2025, the directive on data and information classification applies to all employees with an employment contract at the Ðǿմ«Ã½. On the ADAM learning platform, all employees have access to the mandatory self-study course, which provides the fundamentals for the correct handling of data and information at the Ðǿմ«Ã½.
The directive supports the University in better protecting sensitive information through technical and organizational measures, while ensuring compliance with the cantonal Information and Data Protection Act.
E-Learning-Tool TALES (voluntary)
You can use the (TALES) to familiarize yourself with the legal grounds of data protection in a fun and engaging way and to test your knowledge.
The course is led by Professor Beat Rudin, former Data Protection Officer of the Canton of Basel-Stadt, and by Danielle Kaufmann, former Data Protection Officer of the Ðǿմ«Ã½.
Trainings as needed
The Data Protection Officer and her team also offer tailored trainings for various target audiences at the university (e.g. for faculties or in offered by GRACE or the Data Stewardship Program of the Research Data Management Network).
